Megan Shung often described as 'the 21st Century violinist', is an international violinist, composer, and educator based in Los Angeles, California. Adept at multiple genres and styles, she has collaborated with artists including Michael Bublé, Seal, and Billy Childs. She is currently the co-artistic director of String Project Los Angeles a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the education and performance of bowed string instruments and on the Suzuki and jazz faculty at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music. She has appeared as a guest clinician and speaker across the USA and internationally with a specialty in teaching improvisation. She is also the co-founder of Wicked GOAT, a contemporary new music concert series at PCM for young people. Born in Houston, Texas, and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. Megan attended the LA County High School for the Arts and graduated with academic honors from the Cleveland Institute of Music in violin performance.
